Through the week, the Langford Fireplace and Rescue Division was known as to seven fires that would have been prevented by improperly disposed of cigarette butts.

The fireplace division is reminding the general public of the significance of safely disposing of cigarette butts and smoking paraphernalia as wildfire season approaches within the province.
