The federal government launched, Thursday, Could 18 in Kalemie, the mission to arrange a neighborhood police within the province of Tanganyika. This mission can be carried out with funding from the Authorities of Japan by the Japan Cooperation Company (JICA).

This mission is funded to the tune of three.7 million US {dollars} and can be applied by the Worldwide Group for Migration (IOM).

The target of this mission is to contribute to the advance of safety governance on the native stage.

Japanese Ambassador to DRC Hiro Minami mentioned neighborhood policing fosters sturdy relationships between police and neighborhood members.

Hiro Minami identified that this font additionally promotes neighborhood downside fixing, and this could result in a discount in crime in the long term.

The Japanese Ambassador indicated that after the departure of MONUSCO from Tanganyika, the Congolese Nationwide Police (PNC) must work with the neighborhood.

JICA Resident Consultant within the DRC, Hironobu Murakami defined what this mission is about:

“Six months of police coaching, the development of police stations and sub-police stations with gear and the operationalization of the native council for native safety geared toward establishing collaboration between the police and the inhabitants”.

For the interim governor of Tanganyika, Dieudonné Kasaka, the arrival of neighborhood policing within the province will strengthen belief between the police and the inhabitants.
